projector and screen.. under $150..?

Looking to set up a projector and screen in an outside 3 season room... Under $100 would be awesome, but can go $150....We wouldn't be using it often, but thought it would be cool to have with the warmer weather coming....

Was thinking this: http://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Portab...nch+screen

and this: http://www.amazon.com/Rienar-Mult...C8K2ILMKJG

I would hook up a chromecast....

I have a bluetooth speaker.. not sure if I can use that...

Again, don't need high quality... Was looking to stream video from xfinity to the chromecast.. maybe get a cheap blu ray player...

This is the first time I thought of doing this, so if $150 or less isn't doable for something that's at least watchable (don't need super high quality), then I'll hold off

Also, I am assuming it wouldn't work well in the day due to the light.. maybe just night?

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

$150 is not doable for a projector worth watching. You're better off carrying a black friday tv out there

Most of the reviews for that projector that looks like a plastic kleenex box are fake:

okay.. I'll hold off then... don't have free cash laying around and if I eventually do it, it's gotta be done right.. I'm okay with mediocre at that price, but if it's not even worth watching

I've used those toy projectors before. You'll get an "ok" picture at the size of a small laptop screen. Any larger and it won't be watchable or even visible.

Look to the used market. You can get an ok used projector for $150. Just use a wall or sheet for the screen.

Iagree

If you want to try it for $150 you need to spend virtually all of that on the projector. The $80 screen you posted is completely unnecessary. Get a heavy white sheet from your closet (or a dollar store) and hang it up, pulled tight with some string or something.

Then look for an older used projector. You can figure out the interface with some adapters, whether it's VGA or HDMI or whatever, but you need something that can put out a bright picture that looks decent at 84"+ diagonal. Otherwise you're better off with a cheap LCD.

The pocket projectors (or pico projectors, whatever) are basically useless toys.
