Yeah it feels like $6.00 is the price point where these are hot now. Crazy how the prices have dropped fro time to time. Want the Zootopia set, but don't wan't to pay more than $7.00 each.

Just so everyone knows, Disney is no longer going to be making these in the future. They are exiting the gaming business outside of licensing deals. I would wait until this news hits the mainstream and these things get clearanced out like crazy.

Yep, these things will be in the clearance bin soon. Wont pay more than $2 for them now.

Interesting. I thought Disney was making a ton of money. So there will be no more Disney Infinity releases, figures or additional content added in the future?

What about Skylanders? Are they dead too?

Yes, they will be in the clearance bin, but every clearance cycle only some of them were available in stock at clearance prices. Some of them disappear out of stores or are hard to find, so if you really want them and Disney is not making any more, it could be risky to wait until they get that cheap before buying.

In a way it relieves me as I won't feel obligated to buy any more of these, but some of the Infinity stuff was good and it's too bad they are getting out of the software business. One of my favorite Disney releases was Kinect Disneyland on the Xbox 360. It's nice to be able to wander around the park whenever you want, but apparently most people didn't care much for it. Too bad as I was hoping they'd do a Kinect California Adventure.

EDIT: I noticed Ant-Man and Black Panther are OOS for shipping and low inventory at most stores. I wonder if Best Buy is getting rid of them all now or if they will get new inventory?

I actually really enjoyed 3.0. lots of replay value in the twilight playset particularly IMO.

Hoping that they keep the servers going for a while so my daughter can still do toy boxes and whatnot.

I didn't care for the controls of the mini games within Disneyland kinect, but it was cool wandering the park and comparing it to the real thing.

Are Toy Boxes tied to online servers or mainly internal play? I started buying a week ago and need to figure out if I should keep buying figures or just quit right now. I don't recall signing my kids up for anything after plopping in the disc.

Do you think Marvel Battlegrounds is worth getting someday if it hits $10 or less? It's the only one I don't have.

I didn't even think about the Infinity servers for PC. They are required because it's the only way they know which figures and playsets you bought. I'm sure Disney will abandon those servers and take away the ability of PC owners to play Disney Infinity 1.0 through 3.0 at some point in the near future. I doubt Disney will bother to patch the game to allow the ownership data to be stored in some sort of a key file on your local PCs. Fortunately I have the Infinity games on PS3/PS4. This shutting down servers is why I have refused to buy any game that does not have an offline single player mode, so I've passed on deals on Evolve, Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny, etc. I rarely have time to play games when I buy them. Sometimes they sit on my shelves for years.

Yes, the controls of Kinect Disneyland weren't great, but they were sufficient. The best part was the detail of wandering around the park. I shudder to think how cool it would've been on a Xbone or PS4 in 1080p. It sounds like Kinect California Adventure will never happen with Disney getting out. Kinect Disneyland dropped to $10 pretty soon after it was released, so I assume it didn't sell well. Pretty much anything I like people don't like, and vice-versa making me an unintentional contrarian. That's why I figure there will not be a Dead Space 4 game since I liked the first 3 so much.

I don't believe the servers shutting down would affect creating and playing local toy boxes, but the "community content" boxes, which is what my daughter ends up playing quite a bit, will no doubt be gone.

too bad...they really did a nice job with 3.0.

guess it is time to check out Lego dimensions.

It seems the Marvel ones are gonna be hard to catch on clearance. Best Buy no longer has any of them for shipping. I need at least one of those $4 deals to finish up if they will be meeting their end.
