At Buydig eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sigma-17-...cat_id=151

Not as good as the expired Amazon deal but still $120 less than the MAP price of $420 for the lens with factory warranty. For the non-Googlers out there, this is a APS-C (crop) lens, not for full-frame.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Good price, but if you're looking for performance/bang for buck, you can pick up a used Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 VC or non VC for under this price.

Wow, great deal for US warranty lens. Amazon deal was a price mistake.

Also, 6% ebay bucks today if eligible.

Amazon deal was actually a price mistake. Amazon honored one lens per order. Multiple quantity orders were downgraded to one lens per order. People received emails from Amazon where price mistake was actually confirmed, but only those with multiples.

Edit: I received my lens as well from that deal, so I'm aware lenses were actually delivered. That doesn't make that deal a non-price mistake deal. This is by far the best deal on US warrantied version of this lens (if this deal is not price mistake as well). I think the cheapest was $400 earlier

I agree. The lens is amazing. Arrived Sunday, and had a chance to take some shots... Awesome performance.

Agreed, it was a price mistake. Deal was so hot I ordered it before it reached FP, but got canceled in the end. My luck and I ordered just one for the Canon mount.

I've got an old Nikon D40 and I'm torn between buying this lens, or biting the bullet and waiting for a new body/lens for $500-$600. Any advice? I hear this is a fantastic everyday lens for most people, and a fraction of the Nikkor price.

If you stick with crop body... Buy the lens... A good lens never goes out of style...

Usually common advice is to invest in lenses, but D40 is a really old body (10yrs now). I think you would benefit from a newer body for the latest in sensor tech and from this lens as well. E.g. you could get a D3300 which has basically the same sensor as latest D7xxx cameras for a fraction of a price. That camera with 18-55 can be had refurbished for a bit over $300. You can sell 18-55, get this lens for $285 (after ebay bucks) and still be under $600.

I wouldn't get too emotional about it. This deal is not far from Amazon deal taking into consideration ebay bucks and the fact Amazon charges sales tax for most while buydig doesn't (not sure about your situation though).
