There is a popular affiliate site that rhymes with g dates giving 15% cash back on Groupon purchases, making this effectively $246.49 before any tax. I'd say very slick, and if I was in the market to replace my old Yamaha, I'd probably pull the trigger.

http://usa.yamaha.com/dealers , I'm gonna say NO on this one, but I guess its still possible...

They are NOT on the unauthorized dealer list, so that is a plus I guess...

http://www.onkyousa.com/Support/UNAUTHORIZED.php Ditto for the Onkyo USA site. The Groupon page mentions a 2 year warranty with a link to Onkyo, so seems like it should be covered. You never know with customer service, but with those two pieces of "proof", they'd be hard pressed to not support the product.

I got in on the nr535 and love it, paid $150 so not sure if the extra $140 is worth it here.

Haha I was very polite in my response. I didn't bother checking and honestly thought maybe that was one of those brands that are under the same company umbrella.

And here ya go Bonk

Purchasing a house with built in speakers in the living room ceiling, patio, and garage. Is this a good stereo receiver for streaming music? Not looking for a home theater system.

I am an onkyo fan having gone through a few of them and comparable receivers from denon and Yamaha. This is a great receiver on the cheap. Still, you are paying for multi channel amplification where only two will be main channels the rest would be effect channels even in "all channel stereo" setting on this receiver. This is a great receiver don't get me wrong but for your purposes you are better off getting dedicated home install amplifiers. Look at parts express and the like, you will find good deals.

PSA: if your OLD Onkyo was manufactured between 2009 and 2012, and it turns on but does not play any audio, they will fix it for free. Google it or visit their website. Takes about 10 days with 2 way shipping paid by them.
