Very attractively priced. I wish this was the version that supported 2.5" form factor storage rather than mSATA since I have a bunch of 2.5" drives sitting around Smilie

I think the processor on 2.5 drive version is a downgrade from this one

But isn't mSATA a 'downgrade' in that it's generally slower?

So when do we get the faster processor AND faster storage AND lower price, all in this form factor?

i thought the 2.5 celeron version of the brix had the same 3205u processor as well as both an msata slot and a sata port.

edit: ack. i think im thinking of msi's cubi broadwell line ( which has a 3205u with msata and sata support), not gigabyte's brix.

This isn't compeltely helpful, but it's a list of all the Gigabyte Brix line with features [gigabyte.us]. Look for "Supports 2.5" HDD/SSD"

mSata is a much more expensive for ssd storage than standard 2.5 inch ssd.

To break this down this deal is basically $20 off. Normally this unit goes for $100, it's now $80.
