Here is how to open most of them.
so you have to wear a ring all the time (i dont even sleep in my wedding ring)
and if your kid finds the ring he and his buddies can play with your gun all they want

not to mention RFID is not the slightest bit secure.

no thanks. not even it if was free.

this used to be $100 at costco/home depot (or less)

why is it being thumbed up at $129?

my bad, this is the biometric one...

...trust me, if you needed it in an emergency, you wont waste your time with the biometric and hoping it works

All time low price on a highly rated safe. I was going to post this myself, but OP beat me to it.

Why not? But this may not be a heavy box, so someone can just pick it up and walk away with it

Great safe for quick access. I have this bolted into my dresser next to the bed for home defense.

Compartment is a little small, I hold a Beretta 96A1 in mine with a 12rd. Clip. But it leaves little room for anything else inside. You can probably keep one gun with magazine loaded, and 1-2 spare magazines at most.

A lot of reviews say the battery life on this is bad in the amazon comments, anyone know if that's true?

I guess it depends on use. I've had mine for two years now and have not replaced batteries yet. But I typically only open it when I bring my home defense gun to the range (probably a dozen times since I got it).

I have a larger safe which houses my normal range guns, which I use much more often.

I suppose if you use this for constant access the battery life may run low quickly.

Have mine for a yr and its using the original battery. Granted i only open mine maybe once a month when i go to the range. Also, the storage space is decent. My Springfield XD9 4" with a 10rd mag and my SW mp shield 9 with the 8rd mag can both fit in it. But i normally leave just one of them with 2 extra mags.
