Any word on how this TV is? I'm in the market for a 65" 4k TV, and this seems like a pretty solid deal.. But how trustable is refurbished from walmart? And whats the overall quality of the TV's picture..?

Price point is super tempting but still feels like an $800 gamble. I would almost rather buy a used one that I at least know has a track record of it working at some point in the distant past.

Add $100.70 shipping surcharge (say for handling) and can't get around that even with store pickup from my understanding. Or am I reading those terms correctly? And then tax of course.

well there has been LG's for 800 brand new so they cant be worse then the trimmed down vizio D model. I would say wait on this one its not bad its just its not a Slickdeal. If this was 750 new or 650 refurb i would say buy.

I still can't get past that Visio name/reputation? Have they gotten any better over the years?

They have gotten very good the past few years to the point where they rival top brands at a very competitive price. Look at the 2016 line and the tvs are no joke. I bought a 2014 model last year and have been very pleased with it.

I got a 50" M series early last year, and I am very happy with it.

This is a Vizio, so your preconceived notions shouldn't stop you from buying one.
