I'd be interested to know if this was a good deal since I'm in Ft. Laud.

Generally rates are best these days when the Cruise lines release the schedules. Some have been reporting this current sale is a little better than those rates, but mostly for 2018 sailings. I for one have a cruise booked in Jan 2017 and my original rate I booked months ago is better than this one. YMMV

$299 is a very good deal. Other deals are okay.

Remember the weather in december might be cold and that's why they are offering these prices. So most probably you will end up staying inside the ship rather than a day at the beach or outdoor of the ship.

The downside of staying inside the ship is you will gain a lot of weight by eating or get high by drinking.

BTW I live in Ft. Lauderdale and have been on cruise every year.

I've had booked a trip once in Carnival for $140 per person for 3 days.

RCI tends to be more expensive, so $439 for a 7day sounds very reasonable that considered. Can you do better on Carnival? Probably.

Ehh - I'm already booked into the NCL Escape for Dec 2016, not changing that now. The Oasis class ships are still $$$.

TravelZoo is crap. You need to sign in just to see the deal. I headed to RoyalCaribbean.com instead.

Looking to book my 1st ever cruise here soon. What months still have warm weather along with affordable prices? I've never been on one, and most who I know have, mention Nov as being the most affordable, along with decent weather. Last thing I wanna do is be a ship potato. How much more is one expected to pay in fees and taxes? Any cruise ships to stay away from? Sorry for all the questions. Most here seem to have lots of experienceBig Grin

November or December are great times to cruise, with awesome weather and more relaxed ship atmospheres. Just avoid the weeks surrounding a holiday and the prices are usually great.

You'll likely have a much better response in the Cruise Critic First Time Cruisers section.

Mediocre deal if you had planned on going on a cruise that week.Royal tends to be more than others. But Travelzoos title makes it seem like you're getting more of a deal than you actually are...
