Looks like a sweet deal. $99 for a GSM Unlocked Seller Refurb iPhone 5 16GB , with a new Otterbox Defender(which sell for $10 on Amazon). Shipping is free, though you get 2-3 business day 1st Class shipping for $2, so why not? Was no tax for me in Texas.
Buy here [dailysteals.com]
Seems like a good spare phone / phone to lend your younger cousin.
Edit: Dailysteals clarified that its GSM Unlocked, and not Verizon unlocked (as their page had earlier stated)

Call it for what it is: USED. "Seller Refurb" is a scam and nothing else.

Buying an old phone with a sealed battery is a dumb idea.

Your lithium-ion battery starts dying the moment it leaves the factory

The fact is, your lithium-ion battery starts dying the moment it leaves the factory! Of course, the actual life-span of an unused lithium-ion battery can vary by a fair amount based on its internal charge as well as the external temperature. But suffice to say that you can expect to irreversibly lose 20% of a lithium-ion battery’s charge every year from its original date of manufacture.

But you can replace the battery (which isn't easy for an iPhone). Lots of YouTube vids on how to do it. I've done it for an iPhone 3GS. New batteries on eBay are $15 max.

Still using that phone today. Works perfect. No reason to upgrade.

5s is the oldest iPhone worth buying imo. $100 for an iPhone 5, an almost 4 year old phone, is not something I would recommend. I'd wait till 5s comes down or just pony up the extra bucks for one. It was like twice as fast or more.
