No shipping available, though this is the first I'm hearing of this deal. Also first time seeing a 5TB under $100 aside from Seagate externals on Jet with first time shopper coupons.

Nah.. Its dip b4... I believe this same exact hdd was 99 from bestbuy a few weeks ago.

On BF 2015 i bought 4 at 88 each

I've been using 2 of these in my nas 24/7
The other two are used as external hard drive backup of my nas

Its so hard to post anything with the slickdeals app.

Yeah, I think I got mine for close to $80 from ebay-Bestbuy. Mine's hooked up to a laptop through USB 3.0 and works great as a home file server. Transfer speed on large files show steady 100MB/s+.

I'm wondering this too. Surely they won't be Reds, will they?

This is a great price for it, I am hesitant to get one of these that does not tap into wifi, though. I loaded several video files onto mine, and it's great to just use the app and play the videos on my phone (or chromecast)

Everything I've read says WD Blues, which are now the lowest end WD drives. They have short warranties and aren't meant to run 24/7.

Thanks for that. I want to run them in a NAS, so I'll just have to bite the bullet (again) for Reds.

Yeah, I saw you say that earlier in this thread. Maybe I'll try it with one. You've been running them, what, a few weeks, or have you run other Blues longer?
I had two pairs of WD Reds, 3TB and 4TB in a Synology NAS, and when that got full a couple months ago I swapped one of the 3's out with a $195 5TB Red. So if I could swap the other 3 out with a $99 Blue that would definitely be less painful.
Or I could've swapped the two 3's out with a pair of these for only $3 more than I paid for the 5TB Red. Hmmmm.
