Hello all! This is my first post. I am going to Vegas for the first time for my birthday and am having trouble finding a decently priced hotel in Vegas near the strip. It would be great to get some input on some hotels and even stuff to do around Vegas. Ideally, I think I am looking to spend below $100 (including any resort fee and taxes) if I can.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, unfortunately it will cost you at least $200 for that night on the strip including resort fees and taxes.
Weekends are always more expensive . You can try sites like (Kayak.com, hipmunk.com, and Vegas.com) good luck and enjoy you stay there

That's the weekend of EDC, so prices are going to be jacked up.

What about sharing with other folks? What about AIR b n b?

Vegas is dirty overrated city so just make sure you are not staying in some extra seedy place. Also do not discount how much you get ripped off with so called RESORT fees. You will have to add that plus extra tax to any hotel prices you get quoted.

I would try www.mycheapvegas.com or www.trivago.com. Sometimes you can find great deals slightly off strip like the westgate, or if you're desperate, hooters or something.

Try Total Rewards but you will need at least two members to get a discount. My friend almost got Bally's for $100 (including a $29 resort fee) for the 18th. Good luck.

Do you have any hotel points for hyatt, hilton, marriott, IHG? All of them have partnerships with strip casinos so you could potentially get a room for free.

You don't need at least two members, one of you may just have better offers.

Nope we already called, Bally's two members $79, plus $29, me by myself, $159. The only reason we didn't take it is we both have to check in at the same time... such bull. So we have back up plans at other hotels that are confirmed.
