All apple products are the same deal....the standard apple warranty applies but apple care is worth every penny especially when it comes to these laptops.

If this is like the other "custom built" deals on ebay and the other third party seller on newegg, this machine will not have the standard 1 year warranty from Apple. This machine is most likely like the others, sold as-is, a white-box replacement machine with no warranty remaining. I would stay away until someone can verify it is a brand new retail machine.

More than likely. Apple's plans for the MacBook Air are unclear, the air will be probably be discontinued for this but they haven't said yet. As the air is still the cheapest laptop Apple offers they may continue it until the price on these drop more(ie the retina display is the expensive part).

Who do you think does the "custom build"? Apple does, go to their website and you can put together a machine like this, it's still 100% apple...Unless it has been opened or refurbished I would have no worries. They list apple as the warranty provider...

Thank you for your interest in our Apple MacBook.

This product is "custom built," meaning this version of the MacBook was
specifically made for commercial clients. Therefore, it does not include
Apple Warranty nor the purchase of Apple Care. Fortunately, it does include
a warranty with Mobile Advance until March 2017. The MacBook itself is
legitimately manufactured by Apple, but does not include the Apple logo on
the outter box. It does include original Apple packaging and accessories.

Please feel free to contact us with any further questions or concerns. We
will be more than happy to help.

M processor, 256 SSD..for just under $1,000? Tip my hat to apple for being able to push these machines for the price/performance.

Sorry but if I can't add Apple Care then it's just not worth it. It's a mobile device and Apple Care is highly recommended for mobile devices. If it were an iMac or Mac Mini then this warranty would be fine. I am a BIG Android & Windows guy but I own a 2014 Macbook Pro 13" and Apple Care has saved me at least once so far. I will admit that Apple DOES have excellent "after sale" service...IF you have Apple Care. I wouldn't mind one of these Macbook 12's t supplement my MBP but between the lower specs & no Apple Care I just can't see taking a chance. Nothing against the OP...it would be a good deal if it were;t one of these "custom builds"

Thank you for proactively contacting the seller and posting the response here, repped!

Keep in mind this may adversely affect resale value down the road, that all important Apple logo. I can see buyers filing eBay disputes claiming it's a fake, etc.
