If your a do it yourself-er like me Then you know A plasma cutter even used a few times comes in pretty handy. I have used this unit and it works pretty dam good . No tanks just 73 PSI. And for less then $340 shipped its a real good deal. Are there better units out there ?? Absolutely. But you better open up your wallet. Reviews are better then good they did have a problem back a year or two ago with diodes on board but Manufacturer has upgraded the board.

If you're a home DIY and will NOT be using a plasma cutter 24/7 this is the best you're going to get for the money hands down. Not to mention spare tips ect ect are cheap and plentiful on Ebay .
I have seen the Price on Amazon around $350 but it was with the old board not free shipping and Ihad to pay an additional $24 in taxes. Again this plasma cutter for $339 NEW shipped with one year warranty not to mention 30 day if you don't like it Is a great deal.
Now If you're a professional and need one running 24/7 go get your wallet and pull out $3,000,00 and buy a Halbort.

What amp breaker you run this on in your house? I have a 20 amp for a Hobart wire welder but probably not enough for this I'm guessing.

I'm not a pro electrician but my buddy is and he hooked me up 20 years ago with A 20 amp breaker and shut off as well. I have been running a old Azz Miller stick that (weighs like 300 lbs ) A Lincoln 200 weld pack Holbort plasma ( before it crocked ) and the breaker never tripped or hiccuped.

What the hell is a ecromorphs ??
I Googled it and this came up .. extraterrestrial "infection". The resulting creatures are extremely aggressive, and will attack any uninmutated and reanimated corpses, reshaped into horrific new forms by a recombinant fected organism on sight. Necromorphs are the main antagonists

Dude if that's the case save your $$$ and buy a " PLASMA " gun.laugh out loud

Is Halbort a pun for Hobart?

Make sure your air compressor can do the CFM or has a decent sized tank.

These require a 2 Pole 20amp breaker, so you should be fine.

ScooberDriver Not a Pun i just suck at spelling. Hobart is one of the best you can buy if your are a pro or have endless pockets and fist's fulls of dollars. You are correct on the Air as well.

We use a Hypertherm powermax 45 ($1900 unit with a 50% duty cycle) at work in our shop and it works great for most projects, don't think you really need anything over 60% unless you're using it on an automated plasma table.

I've personally never overheated a 60% duty cycle plasma and I've cut up a ton of heavy metal with them, albeit they were Hypertherm's.

Welders are another story I've overheated a newer Miller and I've also welded with an older crank style Miller soo long at 24v that the entire gun became too hot to handle with heavy gloves and had to switch hands to finish welds.

I know I trailed off lol.. this is a decent deal if the specs are legit, I know eBay has some 50a 60% duty cycle plasmas as well that start around $250, 110/220 but probably no warranty.

Other notes:
I would not expect to cut anything too thick on 110 (single pole) either, most larger 110 breakers are 20-25 amps. (I'm no electrician)
I believe all plasma cutters can use compressed air, I've never had the opportunity to use nitrogen, probably just makes a slightly cleaner cut.
