Tax on $17.35 .. boo! Frown Makes it $9.15 after tax, rebate and stamp.

Picked up the 8 port one a couple months ago from NewEgg for $14.99 shipped no rebate or tax.

Also note all of these TP-LINK devices (TL-SG105, TL-SG108, TL-SG1008D) many seem to have defective power bricks that emit a high pitched whine that changes as power is consumed by the device. Lots of complaints in reviews on Amazon and also some on NewEgg about this.

Seems a bit pricey for after rebate since it's unmanaged. I haven't experienced the power brick whine on my managed models. Also, the buy it link goes to the rebate, not the website.

don't understand the rebate form.

First said "Limit 2" on top.

then in bottom fine print said "Limit one offer per envelope, and one rebate claim per
product per name/household/address."

Is it contradictory to each other? WTH limit 1 or 2?

I haven't dealt with "Rapid Rebates" much... best I could suggest is that you call or e-mail their customer service about the discrepancy. From past experience I'd say it's just general rules contradicting specific rules, and specific rules override that, but I always get confirmation from the rebate company if there's any discrepancies, as I don't want to get denied later (and I don't have much experience with Rapid Rebates and how they handle things).

I would also guess that this rebate only applies to the aforementioned switch being bought directly from Amazon, as opposed to a third party on Amazon, but don't quote me on that, as you'd have to ask the rebate folk.

I'm fairly certain that the Limit is 2 Per Household as indicated at the top of the form.

The bottom portion is just boilerplate stuff the rebate house probably forgot to change.

You are right, it only applies to products sold by Amazon.com LLC, not any third-party sellers.

Newegg has their own version of the form with only $5 for this item: HERE [newegg.com]. It has multiple TP-Link products and all of the limitations are 1.

Sometimes TP-Link will have a channel-wide promo where the rebate form (and Offer #) is the same at: Amazon, B&H, Newegg, TigerDirect and other resellers, but these are merchant specific.

If you want 2, I don't see any any reason not to buy them, but I'd do it all on one Amazon Order/Invoice so that you can have a simple claim. I'd also advise doing it soon because Amazon is almost certainly going to raise the price to $11.99 after-rebate to match Newegg.

Hi, everyone. I am completely new and confused to this type of product. So this one can possible boot my network speed up to 1 gig/s? My network is 50/5. I know I would be ridiculously funny.

50/5 is your Internet speed from your Internet provider. This gigabit switch is your Local Area Network (LAN) ex. your laptop to your desktop
