Yes, you are correct. 1 year begins with the first activation.

Can anyone please remind me what is AVG rebate policy? Is it one per year or per offer?

I had bought AVG Protection 2015 2 yr from NewEgg in Dec 2015

One Per Version Per Year.

2016 Editions are considered different products than 2015, so you are fine to purchase this again.

Yes. Each product line (AVG Ultimate, Protection, AntiVirus, and PC TuneUp) is considered a different, as are the # of licenses/year(s) as well.

So, for example, you could buy:
AVG Ultimate 2016 - Unlimited Devices (1 Year)
AVG Ultimate 2016 - Unlimited Devices (2 Years)

And so on. Just as long as you don't buy the exact same title twice within 1 year on the same address, you should be fine.

I should have some spare codes. I'll PM you one tomorrow when I get mine.

The first code they send you will be a dummy code I believe, where you have to call in to get a real one. I'll save you that hassle.

There's supposed to be a 30 day grace period as well. Meaning within the first 30 days of activation if you activate another device it will also have the full 365 days.
