Need to find a decent priced box spring that includes delivery and removal

br1ckhouse 337 50 May 15, 2016 at 09:41 AM More Sears Deals
I'm in need of a real queen box spring (meaning I can't use slats or any of those "assemble it yourself at home" versions I see on amazon). I already have a mattress so no need to buy a set.

I live in the twin cities in MN and the best option I've found so far is getting one from sears: http://www.sears.com/serta-perfec...?rrec=true

The cost is $150, delivery is $70 and removal is $25, ringing it all up to a total of $261 with tax included. There's gotta be a better deal out there, any suggestions?

US Mattress is probably your best bet (or craigslist, but not sure if you want used). I am in the opposite situation. I just need a plush mattress. Best option Im getting is $360 from Us Mattress.

A box spring is pretty lightweight. You can also just pick it up yourself. Even Big Lots has cheap ones.

+1 strap it to your roof. You also may have "special" trash pickups that will take the old one away for free. That's $100 savings right there.

Have you tried putting out feelers to your friends? I just threw out a brand-new full sized boxspring and frame along with a queen frame (actually still in my garage waiting for the special pickup). One had been converted to a platform bed and the other to a 4 poster. The extra parts were new and just laying around "too good to throw out". You might find someone in the same boat in your circles. Put a facebook post on it.
