baalho 319 53 May 15, 2016 at 11:38 AM
I am at lowes and they have select items 10% off.
I just moved and changed my address at the post office but looks like no more moves coupon in them anymore.
Budget is around 3k
First time home buyer so looking for some slickdeals.

Don't be fooled by the giant 10% off signs, look at the final price. Aim for $400 or less for the washer and drier (each.)
If time is not an issue, wait for deals on discounted Lowes gifcards at Staples or eBay.
You also may find movers coupons on eBay.
I've also purchased a kitchen appliance at Lowes and within a week they mailed me a flyer with some discount coupons

depending on the features you need/want.....the $400 price might not get it done

I have had VERY good luck trolling the "scratch/dent/clearance "areas

You can either get a significant discount...typically 30-35% what they are selling the unit for new in a box
or you can buy 2-3 steps up in features for the same price
They come with the same warranty as new in a box units

The dryer I bought recently had a small..1" scratch
It was discounted 35% . I got steam functionality...which I didnt really care about, but I guess its nice to have

But..I got a VERY large capacity dryer...which I cared a lot about

just thought about another thing.

I can get discover 1-5% depending on what cash back bonus they r running.
And for warranty, could go with like square trade? or maybe check my Credit Card has warranty included.

any tips from the pros?

Yes, dont forget Cashback sites and check the warranty terms of your CC. Amexs usually extend or double the warranty.

You can also google for Lowes 10% coupon. There's a coupon generator.

http://www.lowescoupondeal.com/pr...f-coupons/ You can buy a 10% coupon here. Also, don't forget to buy gift cards at supermarket for fuel perks. I'm with turnne, scratch and dent section at Lowe's is AWESOME. See deals there all the time. Unfortunately, never need the stuff!!!

I too am looking for washer dryer, lowes or Homedepot-a maytag or whirlpool.

Can you use those 10% address change coupons on ebay for online or are they in store only?

I noticed discover no longer offered the 5% rewards in their site for home depot or lowes.

Im looking at a maytag front loader set for 599 each with delivery, same at either loses or HD. Sales associates not flexible on prices in the store today and tell me different things regarding extra fees per install for if I order on line or in store.

Any other tips, thanks. Would do sears too but their prices don't seem very good and the shop your rewards doesn't seem to be great when checked.

Definitely look into the GC route. Acme/Albertson's/Safeway had $50 Lowes GCs for $40 and with 5% CB on grocery stores it came to 24% off. Stack that with a sale and 10% off and it would be a heck of a deal. That GC deal ended, unfortunately, but I'm sure another will roll around soon (eBay perhaps).

Some appliance manufacturers offer significant rebates if you equip a whole home with appliances. This typically only saves a lot on high end appliances but you could still save $200 or so on low end appliances.
