The CREE Q5 doesn't do 600Lm on AA batteries.

This is $2+ original deal expired.

icon, nobody understands where and how those points get applied.
i went as far as the final paypal checkout and didn't see anything.

NVM, i figured it out - the order entry system here is a mess.
After logging into paypal, i had to correct the state and phone,
click on a button to confirm i want bill/ship the same address,
then type 32 into the points field, and if the total still didn't go
down, go back to the home page, back to my cart, checkout
then again fix put the 32 in, and it finally showed up as 1.55
then i confirmed checkout, it took me to paypal again, and i
confirmed it there too...

now i worry these idiots will spam me to death like most
china based flashlight trash sellers. they never have any
opt out or unsubscribe system that actually works, so you
have to keep sending them threatening emails until it stops.

Run the risk of overheating it.

Also these are crap.

Without a doubt, does NOT contain a CREE. The LED will be a fake CREE knock-off made by Lattice Bright. Performance will not be even close to 600lumns, maybe 100 lumens (at most). Also, the output will be VERY VERY bluish.

They work just fine using 14500. Use this same flashlight every night to walk my dog with no issues for over 4 months now. The casing gets hot but the LED has yet to fail.

Says right in the description it can use 14500, so probably will be fine. For <$2 just don't expect much... certainly not 600 lumens.
