DM does not auto-renew unless you sign up for their DiscountLock program.

* Uncheck the box for the DiscountLock Program during Checkout.
* If you do sign up for it, and want to cancel it, you can do so at any time via your acct at the DM website.

Info on DiscountLock from DM Website

We do not do forced automatic renewals. For those who do not want to miss any issues, and wish to lock in the discount they got, we offer DiscountLock. If you are enrolled in DiscountLock, we will automatically renew your subscription at that the same discounted price, if available, before the end of your ordered term. This means you won’t have to worry about paying a higher price when at time of renewal and you won't have any disruption in your subscription service.

If you use PayPal for your purchase, DM (like some other vendors), will add an authorization on your account for recurring payments (although if you do not sign up for the DiscountLock program, DM will not auto-renew).

Some folks may wish to remove this from their PayPal account.

If anyone is interested in BOTH Car & Driver and Road & Track (2 Yrs of Each Title), it's a bundled offer from RecycleBank for 300 Pts.

Some folks don't want to mess with the freebies, which I can appreciate, but here are the details for those that may be interested.

2 Yrs/24 Issues of Car & Driver + 2 Yrs/20 Issues of Road & Track - 300 RecycleBank Pts if you follow the link and it shows "out of stock" use the search field at the top left of the screen at the RB site and type in the magazine title; or use the link below to view all magazines offered by RB and locate C&D/R&T that way
https://www.recyclebank.com/recyc...ption-9311

If you're unfamiliar with RB, it's a site where you do different tasks to earn pts that you can redeem for various things, including magazine subscriptions. It's easy to accrue the pts, and esp if you're new to RB, it won't take long to earn the pts to redeem for the subscription.

* Subscription Comes Directly from Publisher
* Offer Good for New or Renewal Subscriptions
* No Auto-Renew
* No Payment/CC Info Needed

Dedicated RB thread here at SD

r&t is, imo, the best of the 3 major publications. I read car and driver all through middle and high school, but sometime between then and 10 years later it changed. everything comes off as a fluff piece, pseudo sponsored-content. plus I really don't want to read about mom-car and daily driver vehicles at all unless I'm in the market to replace my dd ( in which case I'll be reading online articles dating back 5+ years)

r&t does have its share of fluff pieces, but there's much less of it, and everything is focused around performance and race cars...content far more interesting than reviewing the latest Camry.

too bad I just renewed my annual subscription directly through the publisher for $10. $15 for 4 years is the cheapest I've seen any subscription besides a free 1 year sub.

this.

best car magazine ever. Hands down. The articles, the reviews, the photography, the commentary, and Bob Lutz. Winning.

btw, there are Accord/Camry reviews.

Nah, I get one maybe once every 2 or 3 months. What you WILL get, is a 10 page spread of WeatherTech ads in every issue Wink

But honestly, I love reading 90% of the articles in R&T. I also subscribed to C&D a decade ago but there was so much regarding family cars and SUVs that I did not care to read about.

I love PCOTY, and I love all of the personal stories the writers share as well, and the last few issues have been KILLING IT, regarding 24h Le Mans (Ford is in it again with the GT40 for their 50th anniversary), or the vast history regarding the Indy 500, etc.

I got it super cheap one year, and every year I renew for a few bucks and get a free sub for a buddy.
