Amazon has several Osprey backpacks on sale. All are about $60 less than my local retailer.

Slick:
Atmos 50 AG $173 [amazon.com] - Best price per CCC

Get a old school external frame and you won't look back. Easy to attach extra gear to the frame and your back won't overheat like these internal packs. Last fall we hiked Lassen NP on a 3 day trip and in moderate temps of mid 80's, my REI brand Traverse was just too darn hot. External frames ride higher and have better balance, especially when carrying 40-50lbs. I'm sticking with my 1992 Kelty Tioga. They are still available and one heck of a backpack.

Also have a Kelty Yukon Reg 3200 external frame that I picked up on eBay a few months ago for the minimum bid of $20..score and in as new condition. Check eBay daily as they go fast due to coming5 into high season.
Yukon if you are looking at max 2-3 nights and Tioga if you need more gear (camera/lens, more water (I carry a Life Straw for backup), dog food (for my Border), etc. Get out and do it!

Both have lifetime warranties. If you buy from backcountry, you'll have a double lifetime warranty. I swear by Osprey and have 4 of their bags. My brother uses Gregory and I feel that Osprey has better quality and features.
