A late night oversight. Aside from that, the main point of my comment remains, which was/is the point.

I'm a medical student, not a novelist. I'll try not to cry myself to sleep over this. Instead, I'll continue focusing on topics and details that actually matter, so I can continue helping people in ways that actually matter.

You continue wasting your time parsing fluke grammatical errors like that kid in middle school that ended up having 3 friends by age 30. If you have anything else to say, walk upstairs and preach to your parents.

In any event, nothing's changed, and the world turns as it did yesterday. I'll continue winning, and you continue doing, whatever it is you do. 1 love.

I was about to criticize this, but then I saw that it was an Ultra II drive. Good deal.

How does this compare to the Patriot Blast 240GB, PNY CS1211 or the Corsair Force LE? All seem around the same price so I'm wondering which tends to be the most reliable or barring they are all similar- is one a better performer?

I think it is a good deal, this model was released on 9/2014. It was one of the pioneer in TLC SSD with the decent performance and long life circle from the decent manufacturer. If you don't need the any bigger capacity then it is the right choice.

Sandisk Ultra is the only SSD I will use. I've had too many problems, including Samsung drives.

A nice review is here [anandtech.com]. It performs well relative to its peers at the time of release.

Is this trustworthy enough to put an operating system on it?

That's it's primary intended use Facepalm

* If you're looking for the most reliable storage of irreplaceable family photos/videos, corporate espionage, and/or your favorite adult content, you might want to invest in something a bit higher grade. Otherwise, it's perfectly fine for normal use.

I was just wondering if this is considered a first tier ssd like the Samsung Evo. I do heavy photo editing for a profession so I'm aware of the benefits first hand. Yeesh, no need for snark.

No this is not top tier like the 850 evo. It is a pretty good drive, but it doesn't stand out from other recent tlc drives. If you want top tier from Sandisk you gotta get the extreme pro.

You are backing up your important data regularly, right? If not, I'd work on that before worrying about buying a SSD.
