Why do you guys insist on not including the model # in the title?
RX-A550BL

This exact same model was posted the other day, and Model # was left out again. It was $300 for that deal. This is basically similar to RX-V479 with add'n of not very useful component inputs.

I can't find too many owners with feedback on this. I'd hunt for 479 or 579 instead, but it's a good price.

Also, like I mentioned in the other thread, benefit of Advantage is the removable power cord, which this one is lacking.

Yep, hence the TU from me. Smilie PS: I just pulled the trigger on this.
In case the other threads get lost/merged, here is the comparison link of recent Yamaha receivers

http://usa.yamaha.com/products/au...de=compare

Like I said, looks like RX-V479 + Component inputs and I've never seen 479 anywhere close to this number.
This is almost like RX-V379 pricing ($220 lowest seen, currently $225, and usually 3xx line will not go below $200 based on pricing history) with advantage of "ADVANTAGE" line Smilie and if anyone has seen that front panel in person will agree with me that this line looks a lot nicer in person. I haven't seen this particular one on display at Best Buy, though. Strange.
My local store had only 3 left in stock, I really hope they can fullfill my order. I'd hate to lose this one.

Check out the Onkyo and Denon deals for $250-$275 for 3 or 4 HDCP 2.2 ports..
Not sure what you guys all have that will require multiple hdcp 2.2 ports, but there are other options for those. Or wait for RX-V*81 models with multiple HDCP inputs.

I don't think this one does 4:4:4 either.

Yes, I'm tired.

But, no reason not to. You can use up to 10 BB GC's in one transaction at bb.com and up to 15 in store, so you should be able to cover it.

Since Black Friday 2015 I've had SD alerts on A/V receivers and checked Fry's emails daily. Today I finally bit on this one, thank you OP. Onkyo and Denon have much better sales, can sound great, and have a lot of features... BUT from what I've heard they aren't as reliable as a Yamaha.

I'm in the same boat. I came to the same conclusion about Yamaha - from what I have read, they have the reliability.
Tempted by this but tax is going to raise it for me in nc. I'll stew for a while on this one
