And I paid $1900 for a 40" 10 years ago - these aren't valid comparisons lol.

That being said, great deal.

I have never picked up a refurb from Walmart that didn't have a huge crack across the screen. Good luck to everyone trying.

Same, happened twice. The hassle of repacking and lugging it back to the store once is enough to stop playing this lottery. May the odds ever be in your favor.

I just got mine shipped to my house yesterday. I didn't know everyone suggested against this until after I ordered it. Got it all set up and I'm happy with it. (It's really light). The only way I could tell it's refurbished is that the screws to attach the feet look used and there's a scratch on the battery cover on the remote control (which didn't come with batteries, how cheap).

The shipping packaging was very basic. Strong, but I could see how TVs can get damaged. There were 5 plastic straps holding the box closed and no tape. The box is pretty heavy, but once you open it, there's no other box inside, it's just the TV packaged with some foam and air bubbles.

Fair warning: this TV has bad reviews (and sucks for gaming).
