Craftsman 25cc 2-Cycle Curved Shaft Weedwacker Gas Trimmer [sears.com]

Was $94.99. Sale $73.38. SYW Surprise Points $15 (valid for over $70) for $58.38. However, add in local sales tax if applicable. Some folks might have additional SYW balance to use as well. I earned $10.58 in points to use later. Luckily free shipping, or free pickup in the store.

This seemed to be a decent deal for a medium duty trimmer for home use.

Description Item # 07179437000P Model # 79437

Weird. I had $20 in points, a 5% discount as its a SYW coupon and got back another $13 in points after paying just $57. I think I'll make an outbound motor out of it....

I don't have the $15 surprise points in my account.

Edit: Just checked again. And I needed to load in my account and coupon expires in 2 days.

I am not seeing the surprise points, even after logging in and moving to the payment screen. It says I would get $10.73 back on the purchase, but I don't see the $15 surprise points.

Any advice? I don't think I'll pull the trigger without the $15 off.

Edit: After logging into the SYW site, it says I have $15 off $100 purchase in surprise points. Boo!

It seems that the Surprise Points are all over the place, therefore the YMMV. I haven't used my SYW in a long time, but was glad I checked.

For me, surprise points only show up if your order is over $75.

Just add the feed line and you'll be over $75 to get $15 + $10 in points making it $50 + Taxes.

I would have bitten if I didn't get the DeWalt 20v one last year. Albeit this might be a tad powerful, but without fumes and maintenance I will take the brushless trimmer.
