HDMI cables are just "standard" or "high speed" and with or without ethernet. All high speed cables should support all current HDMI features including ARC, 3D, 4K@60, etc... HDMI 2.0 does not define any new cables or connectors.

Does HDMI 2.0 require new cables?
No, HDMI 2.0 features will work with existing HDMI cables. Higher bandwidth features, such as 4K@50/60 (2160p) video formats, will require existing High Speed HDMI cables (Category 2 cables).

Can existing HDMI cables support the higher bandwidths of HDMI 2.0 Specification?
Yes, existing High Speed HDMI Cables (wire only) will support the new higher bandwidths (up to 18Gbps).

HDMI 2.0 specification defined a new, more efficient signaling method, for speeds above 1.4b limits (10.2Gbps), to allow higher bandwidths (up to 18Gbps) over existing High Speed HDMI Wire Cables.

Last 2 pack of these I bought worked perfectly fine. Wouldn't hurt to pick up a few more IMO. Thanks OP, repped as usual!

Sheesh, $3.50 for 2 HDMI cables? These are either bad quality or the pricing has just gone down immensely on these.

Bought a pack. Seemed decent enough from the reviews (see the single cable http://m.newegg.com/Product/index...oCE1_w_wcB)

Coboc is newegg's product, just like Kirkland in Costco. they don't charge 3rd party premium by having them in store, hence the price is so low

I've purchased loads of stuff from them over the years. I buy more from Amazon these days, but Newegg has always been great for me.

From my understanding there's not much difference between an expensive HDMI cable and an inexpensive one. It either works or it doesn't. Thus, no need for pricey Monster HDMI cables when you can buy solid ones from generic or off-brands.

I bought like 6 of these last year. 2 or 3 ended up being duds, but for the price, hard to beat.

I just play it safe now I get amazonbasics cables which can handle the new specs (HDMI 2.0 @ 18gbps). Think a 2 pack of those are $7.50

"WARNING The products listed on this page contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm." From the checkout page...just in case anyone cares about that sort of thing.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm gonna pick up those instead for some extra future-proofing.
