Is it every bit as exciting as The Da Vinci Code?

Read them years ago but I personally liked Angels and Demons better. Deeper storyline. (The movie was much worse though.)

The book was way, way better than the movie. They cut out so much to fit it into ~2 hours. The main female protagonist was pretty much a background character in the movie and the antagonist has a much deeper backstory.

Book 9.5/10
Movie 4/10

Also, OP is incorrect. Angels & Demons is the prequel. Da Vinci Code is second in the series.

A good read. Although his books seem to share similar plot climaxes and pacing, they are all enjoyable.

Not quite. Calling it a "prequel" implies that it was written after The Da Vinci Code, but that it took place before. That's not true. This is just the original book in the series.

There's only confusion about this because Hollywood decided to jump straight into the way-more-popular sequel.

Thanks. I stand corrected. Although, Angels and Demons is still not a sequel since it was the original.
