I am wondering if this would be a good way to stack up points/miles on my cc. For example if I buy 10 of these coins, i will earn about 14,000 cc points. I could easily flip the coins for face value and I get to keep the 14,000 points.

Thoughts?

I guess it's all relative? $59 under spot plus credit card cash back is feels like its way under for me...but I guess can't make everyone happy.

So why not this? It is even less above spot before 10%.

This one doesn't give ebay bucks, it depends on what category it's in. Also, coins sell better than bars.

Oh. I've collected coins for years but I've never sold one. Never bought it in bars so I didn't realize you couldn't earn eBay Bucks on them.

I guess I appreciate the intrinsic value of a coin to much to sell for spot.

I did not get in on the 10% shake head

I don't have the 2016, but have a number of different ones from over the years. For those who appreciate coins they are beautiful.

Too many fake gold plated coins in circulation to make this worth my investment. Check out all the YouTube videos of people who purchased gold bars and coins on eBay and cut them in half.

You certainly could, although face value is 100 Euros, so you'd be losing thousands of dollars!

If one can't tell the difference between a genuine gold coin and a fake they shouldn't be buying. With that being said, it doesn't take rocket science to determine if the coin is real. This is a good deal and I'm in for one.
