I just wanted to post that I did the current gift card deal and it is an awesome deal---

This deal is good thru Sat 11/24/12---

I bought the $100 Visa Gift Card---does not work on the variable amount/debit card.
(The $100 card is the best because of the $5.95 transaction fee on each card-----one store was out of the $100 cards on the rack, but they did have more in the storage case thingie---just had to ask)

Transaction 1:

$100.00----$100 Visa Gift Card
$5.95---Transaction/Processing fee

$105.95---Cash out of pocket---Final Transaction amount

Received $20 catalina good on next shopping order


Transaction 2:

$100.00----$100 Visa Gift Card
$5.95---Transaction/Processing fee

(100.00)---Used $100 Visa card from previous transaction
$5.95---Cash out of pocket---Final Transaction amount

Received $20 catalina good on next shopping order


Transaction 3 and all subsequent--:

Same as transaction 2!!!!

I wanted to test this deal to see how it would work---

1) The $20 catalina that you receive can be used immediately---there are other catalina promos where the catalina cannot be used until 11/25/12

2) I used a $20 catalina to purchase an item that was suppose to give a $10 catalina and I did get the $10

3)** It has lots of restrictions ---cannot be used to purchase gift
cards/alcohol/cigarettes/lottery/prescriptions/gas/etc

***Expires 12-8-12 ( from purchase on 11/22/12)

***Only one $20 catalina coupon can be redeemed per Transaction

4) When redeeming the catalina coupon on a purchase with taxable items, it deducted the
amount of tax charged on the $20 (Kentucky has 6% sales tax, so that was $1.20 in tax savings)

5) This can be done at self checkout with just a bit of patience----easier to do the first couple at a regular checkout to watch what the cashier does to process the card.

So for me the actual cost for each $20 catalina was $5.95 and if you include the tax savings realized on the purchase at redemption the net cost here is $4.75.

I took a pic of the card purchased, catalina coupon received, and one of the receipts showing the redemption of the Visa gift card and final cost of the next catalina.

---What I still haven't tested and would like to know:

a) Can a $10 and $30 catalina received from purchasing other items be used in conjunction with this $20 since they are from different promotions


I have purchase several of these already and plan to go back today to redeem a few and purchase a few more-----I am in Christmas shopping mode and really need to gear down and think about what "normal necessites" that this could be used for and the best way to work a "deal"!!!!

I'm confused. How are you able to use the first $100 GC to purchase another GC in the 2nd order? I thought you couldn't use a GC to buy another GC.

What was the start date of the crescents offer? I didn't see tags up on Friday when I bought the Country Crock, but there were tags for the price drop.
The sticks were also $1.25.

I'm getting ready to make a trek to Meijer's with my Wags RR bounty, but the only access I have to the ad/info is online.

I see they are having Santa Bucks this weekend. Can I get those coupons in the store somewhere or do I need to sign up for a MPerks card online? Any information on Santa Bucks or any other stellar deals this weekend would be appreciated.

I'm confused after surfing to various blogs---on one it sounded like you rec'd the SB back as a cat coupon and most of the others had you using SB as coupons, so I'm assuming the later is correct, but I'd like to have some sort of plan before I get there. I know they had ads by the door, but maybe coupons are generally at the CS counter.

normally the santa bucks are on one of the pages of the 2 day sales ad in the store. you could print them from online if you see the ad.

I can see part of the ad, but didn't see the Santa Bucks. Does anyone have a direct link to the coupons?

I'm just worried I won't find them in the store. I've never used Meijer coupons before. I Meijer's though and due to my for Wags I plan on having a fun shopping trip.
