It doesn't look good for an update to Marshmallow, but even at 5.1 this tablet works pretty great. I do find that I have to reset mine every few days, and while a modern tablet shouldn't require this, it's not really all that inconvenient.

Never have I ever reset mine and my sister also has one that has never been reset. Love them.

how does it compare with Samsung tab s2?

I prefer Dell's native android approach, but some like Samsung's "skin" over android. I have the dell and have used the S2. I wish the dell's buttons were on the other side (a case opens the opposite way you think). I think the SD cards are mostly useless (would love to be proven wrong by someone!). Both are powerful tablets. I'd look at them in person if possible.

I got it but don't like it too much, the bezels are too small and causes alot of issues and makes it weird to hold. Its also lags alot and the battery drains quick. Overall not too happy with it, I got an ipad mini 4 and it runs circles around it. If you want to stick with Android, get a Samsung over this.

these are great. the only issue I had with it was that the bezel is so thin you often found yourself touching the screen while just holding it. so when you actually did "click" somewhere the tablet would treat it as a multi touch click. not a huge issue, but happened enough.

I have the s2. Battery also isn't the greatest. Screen is a huge hog and the battery size isn't large enough due to them wanting it to be thin as it is. anandtech has a good review of it.

These are junk. Go to the Dell forum and read all the complaints about the most recent software update causing the speakers to crackle and hiss. Dell has refused to address the problem and it's been over 6 months.

Also, the 16GB model comes with less than 8GB available to the user out of the box. Further, the tablet has been abandoned by Dell and will never see another update. Finally, the tablet is known to stop reading microsd cards spontaneously...forever.

@house kitten seems to be the only champion of this device. Do yourself a favor and visit the Dell mobile device forum and educate yourself.

I get additional 17% off from employee coupon. Very tempted. Don't even need it. It looks gorgeous.

Fantastic tablet for the money, got a 16gb for $150, but I would recommend paying more for the 32gb as it is far more versatile and functional.

Also, I would wait for another Dell refurb sale, could have had the 32gb for $160 if I recall correctly with the 50% off coupon that was floating around.

Oh and Dell sucks at supporting firmware updates so you won't be getting Android 6.0 on this so don't hold out. This tablet has been on fire sale for a few months. May even be the last Android tablets that Dell makes.
