the combo of this and the tap switch still works if you put them in to the cart separately.

Is there a special discount with the tap switch or something?

Only seems to work with the E26 bulbs, not the BR30. If you buy the tap and E26 you get 34.99 off the tap.

Does this work fine with Smarthings and GE zwave switches?

Anyone know if the BR30 bulbs will work with a dimming switch? I want to place these 3 in ceiling fixtures but those are controlled currently by a dim-able switch.

I am not 100% certain but I think I've read dimmer switches can cause these lights to stutter. I would research it a bit before committing. Philips also makes a Hue integrated switch.

It works with the SmartThings (or any Zigbee Hub, AFAIK), but I am not sure on the Z-wave switches.

Is there any advantage to the gen 1 version vs the current?

Anyone had experience using these with android? It only lists ios as supported.

I haven't tried the BR bulbs with dimmer, but all the others work with the dimmer set to brightest level. I just tape over the switch in the on position. It probably depends on your dimmer switch. They are easy enough to switch out to a regular switch. If you're asking can you use your dimmer switch to control the Hue bulbs the answer is no.
