Kaspersky Rebates - Sending UPCs but they claim they are not getting them.

This makes 2 rebates in past few months they claim that they didn't receive the UPC when I know I sent it in the envelope. These 2 are the update rebates where you have to send in a copy of the UPC from the box top and send along with box bottom.

I always take pics of everything I mail in and keep in its folder. I feel very sure all required info was sent to them. I've never ever had any issues with Kaspersky so this is a recent issue that has cropped up.

The only way I'm finding out is when I receive rebate checks for rebates sent after so I call to see the status of the older rebates and then they tell me I was denied because I was missing the UPC. I let them know that I had no idea and no one notified me. They claim that I was sent notification when I was not. I never received any type of notification.

I just found this odd why all of a sudden this is happening.

Anyone else?

They do allow me to fax in that page they claim was missing and they will send me a check but I still find it strange that they are claiming they didn't receive it and then claim they sent me notice that I never received.

Yes, same thing happened to me. I am certain that I did send the UPC. Since it happened more than one time, I am sure that the problem is their end.

Well that makes me feel better. Sorry it's happening to you too but glad I'm not the only one.

Usually you not only have to send in the UPC, but also have to follow a specific rule that is to send it in affixed with a tape to the right upper corner of the form. Did you rebate offer spelled it out?

Dang, just had another incident of them not receiving the UPC copy. This is crazy. All of a sudden I'm getting these issues when there haven't been issues in the past. Weird. I guess I'll wait a few weeks after sending in each update rebate and call Kaspersky to follow up and make sure they received everything. That's a bit of a hassle but looks to be necessary.

I have spoken with a couple of the Kaspersky reps and they are clueless of what the issue could be.

Also today I got a denial for a rebate....reason is: Over limit (offer limits have been exceeded). This was on a rebate where they requested the UPC copy again. When they receive another UPC, they give it another tracking. They evidently send a denial notice out for the first tracking number. Seems like they could keep the same tracking # for less confusion and paperwork. I've got one rebate now with 3 tracking numbers.

Also they told me they had sent out 2 other denial notices for the other 2 they claimed there was no UPC codes. I never got those.

Everything with Kaspersky was going so smoothly for the longest time and all of a sudden I'm having issues.

Are you taping the UPC to the rebate form? It doesn't say to do that for Kaspersky upgrade rebates, but I think it could cause problems if you are leaving it loose in the envelope. All other Newegg rebates and Kaspersky rebates (from DVD cases) explicitly say to tape UPC code to rebate form and not leave it loose in the envelope. I have been following this with the Kaspersky upgrade rebates also, even though it is not explicitly stated.

If you are doing that and still having problems, then possibly I am just lucky. I have been doing Kasersky / Newegg rebates semi-regularly for 5 years and have never been denied one of their rebates. Only issue I've had is occasionally I won't receive a check. This happens rarely and takes at most 5 minutes to get resolved..

I had never been denied either until recently....never had any issues. With Kaspersky upgrades I only submit the full flap from box and copy of other flap thet shows UPC so really no actual UPC gets mailed...just a copy of the flap with the UPC. I know for a fact I send them everything as I always have in past. It's just recently that they are claiming to be missing that copy of UPC. I just have to fax them that page again and then they approve it.

I had similar on an upgrade rebate. I got notification via mail that I was missing the UPC (the notification looked the same as the rebate checks they send, but inside was a letter instead) and I contacted them. When the agent looked it up and saw it was and upgrade, she told me no problem, made a note and sent it back for processing.
