We recently moved and I have been shopping for a replacement fridge for our POS Samsung RF28HMEDBSR that makes gunshot loud popping noises 2-3 times an hour. There is no fix so Lowes is replacing it since we are within 30 days plus I bought the extended warranty.

This is the cheapest price I have seen on this refrigerator when checking price tracker sites. Lowest ever was $1,998.00 at HD but with Lowes you can use the 10% off code with no extra leg work making it $1,888.20 plus tax.

Also looks like they are having quite the sale on other models as well. Hope this helps someone else!
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I hope your LG is better than ours. We get a popping sound too multiple times a day, but it's not that loud.. These newer fridges seem to make that noise, a neighbor that got a Maytag recently has the same issue.

I guess I'll keep trying until we get one that doesn't. Found a lot of reviews about the noise on our actual Samsung model but really not anything on this LG model. I wish they made them like they did 30 years ago instead of the fancy gadget machines they make now that are loud and break in 5 years.

Many stores all at this price for Memorial Day. HH Gregg also same prices on similar models.

Waiting for the coupon hating clown to spew their usual cut and paste diatribe! Must be too early for them they haven't helped everyone out of bed at the senior center to check and see if their lowes coupon alert went off!

I realize this, but its much easier to just enter the 10% off code on Lowes that going into the other stores trying to get them to honor it. Just trying to help out as I know there is a limited market on these pricey refrigerators vs the $5 smith and hawken cage string lights I scored yesterday at Target haha.

Does it have an ice maker and are you using the ice from it? If so, that's more than likely the ice releasing from the warming mold tray to replace the ice being used from the bin.

I'm praying that is all it is. Unfortunately on our fancy Samsung its the internal plastics expanding and contracting when the unit cools itself and cuts off. BANG! The first night we had it, it was loud enough to make me jump out of bed on alert status.

Subscribe to HH Gregg mailing list. They'll send you a 10% off coupon. Same thing.

Saying that most places are the same price and have similar coupons.

No HH Gregg near me and I know what you are saying, its easy to see every big box site has matched the price. The key is everyone has Lowes, not everyone has HH Gregg, Frys, Worst Buy, AJ Madison or other stores alike near them. Everyone can get the 10% off Lowes coupon in 5 seconds, no other stores have coupon codes readily available without a new sign up or email mailer or store honoring which aren't reliable.

Oh I have that on the current one and will be getting it on the new one. That is a no brainer to me.
