best off waiting for any GPU purchases. The new releases are suppose to be big jumps in performance. wait a couple months.

Thats how long some of the rebates take to receive anyways

this actually does seem like a great price for people who are not hardcore gamers.
based on gpuboss comparison, r9 380 has very similar performance as the GTX 960

if you prefer Nvidia, GTX 960 SSC 2GB version also 149.99 AR

Not that great of a deal. A better one would be this one:
https://jet.com/product/ZOTAC-ZT-...986c9513ee

I got this GTX 960 after the 15% coupon code for $149. Specs are much higher and can be used for both gaming and daily. Last I checked, AMD/ATI have been a bit slow on their driver updates causing a lot of issues for people.

That's still $161.49, and not $149.99?

Sorry, I think I got it for around $179.99. IMO, $161.49 for an extra 200mhz core clock and 2000mhz memory clock is still better.

You can get extra bits off from paying by devit card(1.5% I think) and waiving the return - might make up the difference you see.

I agree with the if you can wait for a video card purchase for month or 2 then do. AMD is going to release Their next gen low and mid range cards soon and that should drive the price of cards in this range down. So you can either then buy next gen and get performance increases or buy this gen being last gen then for cheaper. Also Nvidia is releasing there High midrange to low Highend range cards end of this month and first part of next month so in the coming months the last gen cards should come down in price also. So soon you might find a GTX 970 in this price range.

I am currently looking for a new card also and that is my plan. Just doing research now to see what price range is current for all of last years models are so I can see what amount the price has dropped when it does.

I'm itching to upgrade my GTX 660 but since I game on my TV, I should probably upgrade that too.
I think if you're only gaming at 1080p, this card is a solid value under $150.

This is a great price. Understand supply/demand and manufacturers won't overproduce a product. I doubt you'll find these more much cheaper in the future.

I bought it along with this 750w power supply for $59.99 AR:

It's playing a game that wouldn't work with my previous 9600GT card. I'm happy.

Actually it isn't expected to be a big jump in performance in the fashion you are thinking but rather power consumption. The performance/joule with polaris is said to be the biggest improvement in that area from ATI in over a decade.

P.S.: Your rebate logic fails. You will be receiving your money on this one not just sending in the rebate. Money now is worth more than the same money in the future. On that note, rebates blow.
