If anyone is interested in BOTH Car & Driver and Road & Track (2 Yrs of Each Title), it's a bundled offer from RecycleBank for 300 Pts.

2 Yrs/24 Issues of Car & Driver + 2 Yrs/20 Issues of Road & Track - 300 RecycleBank Pts
if you follow the link and it shows "out of stock" use the search field at the top left of the screen at the RB site and type in the magazine title; or use the link below to view all magazines offered by RB and locate C&D/R&T that way
https://www.recyclebank.com/recyc...ption-9311

If you're unfamiliar with RB, it's a site where you do different tasks to earn pts that you can redeem for various things, including magazine subscriptions. It's easy to accrue the pts, and esp if you're new to RB, it won't take long to earn the pts to redeem for the subscription.

* Subscription Comes Directly from Publisher
* Offer Good for New or Renewal Subscriptions
* No Auto-Renew
* No Payment/CC Info Needed

Dedicated RB thread here at SD

Thanks KPS! It took about an hour to sign up and get enough points, then redeem the offer through Hurst. Got both on the way!

Yeah, but someone cheats. Either the mags or Recycle Bank does. They take 6-8 weeks to process it and then start an 8 month subscription. I ordered mine from them last October and they didn't send any issues until late-December or January. I got October through January's issues for both magazines within a two week span.

It's free, and that's great, but my subscription is already about to expire and I got half my subscription in a two week span since they just sent me a backlog of issues missed during the processing period.

You could call Car & Driver customer service (800-289-9464 ) and explain that you missed x number of issues due to post office and they will add the missing issues to your subscription.

I've tried customer support with ESPN, Autoweek, WSJ, and a few others for different problems. They see the name on the account is mine but was purchased by whatever agency does the giveaways and then tell me to contact them. This is for simple things like name changes or combining subscriptions if I redeem another year of ESPN or WSJ. They tell me to call the agency which I admittedly don't do. I feel like they'd just cancel the new redemption because I already have a current one.

Weird...maybe it depends on the publisher, but I've not had a problem receiving all the issues for magazines I've ordered from RecycleBank (or my other freebie sources). I've ordered many magazines, multiple times over the years...no problems. I keep track of them all in a spreadsheet.

I've not had any problems merging accounts, updating my name/address either - only with one magazine that I ordered for a family member, when he passed away I tried to cancel it with the magazine itself and they directed me to MercuryMags and I contacted them and they canceled the mag for me.

Yes, some publishers do send back issues on new subscriptions - I've had that happen to me occasionally, even when I've ordered directly from the publisher. It didn't bother me though, because I still wanted the issues, and I got what I ordered. The time period to receive your first issue (8-12 weeks) is the industry standard for new print subscriptions.

Yeah, I think I got mine too today but I'm not sure if it's a continuation of a deal I got from REcycle Bank or if they just axed that one and started this one fresh. I think my RB one was until October of this year but today's issue expires June 2018.

Either way, not complaining. I'm set for 2 years.
