Make sure you got the C wire connected before ordering. Or you may need to pull a new wire.

Rebate states it has to be installed by a licensed contractor or electrician.

This is an amazing thermostat and the op couldn't have posted at a better time for me.

I have been running this for 2 years now and no issues.

Just purchased a new house and it's coming with me but the house has multi level controls so I'm getting this one for the upstairs.

In the app you can have and name multiple thermostats it's pretty sweet.

Thanks again op

Thumbs up. Great stat, great app, great price. When you are a little hot, or a little cold, why get up from your chair? just pull up the app on your phone and knock the temp up/down a degree. I have three of them in house and two in business, all work off the same app.
Are you away and wife is sleeping at home? heck, freeze her out from hundreds of miles away, great fun!!

Click on the "Plus, up to $100 in Rebates" link underneath the price on the page.

I've got a $70 one!

Agreed.... These devices are not adjustable for range, they trigger on and off continually which causes over cycling off your condensing unit.

This is no different than any thermostat...when it hits a certain temperature, it does what it is supposed to do....

$100 rebate available here.
Can anyone who has actually researched the variety of wifi thermostats weigh in on how this one compares to the competition (at a similar price point)?

ETA: How do you determine if the C wire is already present?

I recently bought the GEO-WH-003 with geo-fencing, which I thought was a nice feature to have. It was on sale for $104 but it seems like that was not much of a deal since its @ $107 now.

Any opinions on the Geo one vs this Honeywell one? I'm debating whether I should return it and get this one.
