Normal Price is 29.95 on amazon, according to camelcamelcamel price research. Looks like a good deal for an at home teeth whitening kit.

Final price on groupon is 14.99+2.95 shipping.

Keep attempting to spread fear without one single shred of evidence. Post a link, that's all it takes. Sorry, but some second hand advice from your dentist doesn't qualify.

What exactly is carcinogenic? Please provide references.

Hydrogen peroxide is not carcinogenic when used orally: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/11038240/

Nor is carbamide peroxide: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/15208934/

Nor is propylene glycol: https://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/toxfaqs/tfacts189.pdf

And finally, if glycerine (aka glycerol) was carcinogenic, we would all be dead as it is in almost every single food we eat in the form of triglycerides.
So it goes from being loaded with carcinogens to possibly making your gums sore... Your argument took a drastic step back as far as I can tell. Quit making unsubstantiated claims.

Polypropylene Glycol causes dermatitis and skin irritation in large parts of the population. The inflammation I get is a large risk factor in development of oral and skin cancers. My dentist told me to discontinue use and that he heard many people have issues from it. I don't believe anyone should mess with anything with PEG or PG in it.

Your link said it was not studied for carcinogenicity even though its in so many things, pretty convenient.... yeah great job FDA/CDC way to go.

By the way, it's not PG that causes cancer. PG for some people creates inflammation or sores (if it does, quit using it)... any inflammation or sores in your mouth make you more susceptible to cancer (from something else, AKA an actual carcinogen)...

You know what else could cause inflammation and sores? Brushing your teeth/gums, Getting your teeth cleaned, Eating captain crunch, drinking a hot beverage... etc... Are you recommending people stop doing that as well? Is your dentist recommending "poison"? ... (Side Note... if he recommends fluoride, he literally is recommending poison.)

As far as cancer is concerned, this stuff is as safe as your morning cereal...
