Not trolling, agree it's a decent deal and a good set.

That said, try comparing to a "like" set, with SAME pieces.
Not just with the upgraded "12 piece" Tramontina set (which has one more pan vs a steamer).
The 5-qt. Saute pan in that set will set you back a minimum of $70-$75 in the Cuisinart MCP. And only that cheap because of a "just this week" price drop to an all-time low price.

Similar less steamer w/lid:
Tramontina 10-Piece Tri-Ply Clad Cookware Set, Stainless Steel [walmart.com] $199.99

Edit:

BTW - It looks like there may still be sets at $149.99 available at some BJ's if you have a membership or know someone who does

I checked every BJ's within a 75 mile radius (very nice day for a motorcycle ride) and they were all gone!

Thanks OP! Been waiting on a deal on this set. The Costco set is pretty decent for around this same price but the reviews on this Cuisinart set put it just below All-Clad. Too good to wait for cheaper.

Finally can throw away my 10 year old college pans that spin on my glass top stove!

I bought this set about 5 years ago, and it is still great to cook with. Once you adjust yourself to cooking on what is the equivalent of professional cookware, you will never go back. This set will last a lifetime and is very similar to anything from All-Clad.

It's triple ply on the bottom and up through the sides. Your food will cook evenly even if it's hitting the sides. The pans heat up quickly and retain heat very well. You will have to lower the temp on the stove a bit from what you may be used to on standard cookware because it does such a great job.

Mix this set with a couple of non- stick pans from the T-Fal professional line (America's Test Kitchen favorite), and maybe a cast iron from Lodge and you will have the best setup for pots and pans.

5 star price, don't pass this one up.

Purchased this set from Amazon in 2013 for $217. Very satisfied, easy to maintain, looks great. Pick up a can of Bar Keepers Friend [amazon.com] for minor interior stains.

Also purchased this set in 11/2013. Great set and would buy again, but will never have to - will no doubt last forever.

Not unless you put them in the oven.
