randomly found this on Amazon while I was searching through their running shoes. seems to be a pretty slick deal. bought myself a pair even though they are men's because it's been hard to find minimalist shoes for a decent price lately. hope this helps someone!

first off, not everyone buys these to run. I plan on using them for weight training/kettlebell workouts. I typically workout barefoot, but that's not always ideal, like when you're trying to push a loaded prowler over turf. secondly, running in these can actually be even MORE safe than with a thickly padded shoe with a raised heel because you are allowing the stabilizing muscles in your foot and ankle to strengthen naturally which can actually help to PREVENT hip/knee injuries. however, there is typically an adjustment period for people who aren't used to this style of shoe.

Based on some additional reading, seems like this might be the "normal" price.

Tempting despite the people flagging that they are cheaply made and the insoles lack durability.

A lot of barefoot shoes don't have much durability. Wouldn't be surprised if this was normal price either as its a non-recognized branded shoe. Looks good though.

Ymmv...I have some Fivefingers that have lasted 4 years, probably 200 miles of running and 500 days in the gym. Still solid! I had some NB Minimus Trail shoes that held up to about 100 mi of hiking over 3 years, but the next pair fell apart in 6 months. These things are by definition NOT overbuilt, so quality matters a lot and varies widely.

Looks like an awesome deal, and nice looking shoes, too. Too bad I need size 13-14 or they'll feel like ballet slippers on me.

Would these be good for a tough mudder type race?

Are these for when your Tesla car runs out of battery and leave you stranded?

Normal price. Not a deal. Just another "cross out and con" deal.

Can confirm that this is regular-ish price. I purchased these earlier in the year for $20 and it was that price for months before I finally pulled the trigger.

As far as the soles, I can't comment on that since I pull the soles out of almost all of my shoes anyway. I've run in them and they feel fantastic. Have been holding up well so far, but I will say that I am not an avid runner; more occasional.
