Hate to repeat this but ... unless one needs a large screen, ZTE Zmax 2 is far better choice at the same price or less.

is this the only phablet out there with a 7.0" screen and has come out within the last couple of years and has LTE?

The primary focus of this device is screen size. Having said that, you can't compare this device against the Zmax 2 or other devices with smaller screen sizes. There are many options available with 6-inch screens (or less) that have a wide range of hardware specs - most of which are better than this device. However, try to find a 7-inch phone to compare this against. Unless there's something I don't know, unfortunately there isn't one out yet. The only ones close are the Huawei Honor X2, upcoming Honor X3, and upcoming P9 Max. The only one being made with 'proposed' US LTE bands is the P9 Max.

For the record, I've owned (and returned) this device after 7 days of use last Christmas. For me, it was just way too slow after all backups and apps were restored. 1GB memory is not enough (for me). For non-power users and a handful of apps, this device is great. The display is absoutely gorgeous, despite it being 720p. Blu's really got their in-house 'retina' displays down pat.

I'll admit, it was hard going back to my Note 3 at first.. the screen was tiny in comparison BUT after having the performance factor back from my Note 3, I'm happy I returned the Studio LTE. I'm still checking weekly for the next 7-inch device with GOOD specs and US LTE bands

The problem I have with the screen is it's 378 nits of brightness -- and since I'm outdoors a lot, that would be very tough on my eyes.

Thanks for the heads up on the upcoming Huawei h9max phablet! It's a solid 6.9" screen size and has 3gb of ram and seems quite the power house! I'll probably wait till 2017 when it drops to the 3-400 range in price.

Do you just hold this in your hand all day? Sounds kind of interesting keeping a phone out of my pocket

I saw a couple references to the AT&T ZTE ZMax 2 (which, as was mentioned, can still be had for $60 Refurbished from the AT&T website) and I know that it can apparently be unlocked for around $3 via eBay (if you don't want to wait for AT&T to unlock it per their unlock system/method), and that seems to be a great phone for that price. I'm curious, though, if any of you have an opinion on how the ZMax 2 would compare to the now-somewhat-outdated Nexus 5? Is the ZMax 2 a reasonably comparable device? Or is it not likely to be as nice and smooth as using a Nexus 5? And is the ZMax 2 a good everyday phone?

If anyone would like to respond to this, it would be appreciated!
