Absolutely free 500 stock and option trades for a year. No per contract fee for options up to 20 contracts. This could be worth up to $5,000 compared to ETRADE or TDAmeritrade $9.99 commissions.

This is an incredible deal for frequent traders!

Merrill Edge does not give you free option contract trades. Most of my trades involve options.

You can also get a $100 referral credit.

That should definitely be in the OP's main post.

I thought most people have $50k in their IRA if they trade stocks.

I'm like 99.999% sure they do a HARD credit inquiry if you open a Schwab checking account. I'm not sure if they do it of you open only a brokerage account, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I opened a Schwab brokerage account and they didn't do a credit pull. They aren't extending credit, just collecting your assets. Any margin they may give is secured by your stocks in the account.

Regarding a Schwab Checking Account, I will take your word for it, but I don't bank with Schwab.

The free trades disappear after a year. Only a good deal if you trade that much in a single year, which the vast majority of people don't do. If so, they're probably on Options House or something.

The hard pull this is a given for any checking account, people. Get over it. A hard pull is not that big of a deal, but if you really don't want one, then don't sign up for accounts that have checking. Sheesh.

LOL. You probably haven't traded a stock once in your life, let alone options. You really don't know what you are talking about.
