Saw this out of the Baltimore/DC area and thought it'd be worth posting. This rate I found was available in October, which surely is cold season, but it's a non-stop flight and there are some pretty amazing places to explore in Iceland.

Example Dates:

October 25 BWI-KEF
October 29 KEF-BWI

Fare: $170.39
Taxes: $79.59
TOTAL: $249.98 per person

Check www.google.com/flights for alternate dates and pricing

Happy Travels!

Just went via Icelandair from EWR. A few of my friends flew out from Baltimore via WOW air. They paid 300 so this is even slicker.

The baggage fees on WOW air surely are expensive

I see about $49 per checked bag. That's a bit higher than the big guys, but not terribly out of the range of other carriers. Definitely need to check on fees based on how you travel though.

The daylight hours will be down to around 8 but you can still do some night activities then

Used WOW last year from Boston to Iceland, it worked out great and we packed stuff into a backpack and wore other clothes to save on baggage fees. Iceland was amazing.

Flew them last year from BWI, nice experience overall. Add in one bag and $350 RT is still pretty darn good. You'll pay for food and water on board, too.

Edit: Also, seats 11A or 11F are best value, $10 and no seat in front, so great leg room. I think the XL seats are like $45.

It's wintertime, so you can just stuff smaller items into your coat pockets and fit the rest into a personal item. No need for a luggage!

Yes and that is each way. Most people are going to do 2 way so $100 extra it adds to the ticket

anything fun to do during winter in Iceland in 22hours of darkness and cold?

Just got back from a trip there on wow at this same price r/t from Boston. Pretty good price, but maybe not that rare. Kind of annoying with tourists around every corner there making it sort of hard to get into nature, but worth a trip. Hopefully fewer tourists in October.
