Overpriced, if you're going to buy refurbished, why buy HP.

Here is a lenovo flex 3 with 940M refurbished for $569

Missing the number pad... Kind of strange that the Microcenter version has the number pad and this ebay version does not.

I have taken chances on refurbs, but not on computers...you can never back up often enough and losing computer data is too tragic and risky....bought a refurb to use as a test box once...eventually, corrupted data...bad sectors...increasing bad sectors with every scan (failing drive, obviously)...luckily, it was just under the wire for the 1yr warranty and they sent a new drive...would have been mad if it was a computer I actually cared about and I lost data.

I bought a HP Envy 15 3200 CTO refurbished on eBay in 2011. Still working, had some issues but runs great now with Windows 8.1. The battery is dead though and they want 100$ for a new one. I really like the design. But mine is pretty heavy like almost 5lb. This one looks great, tempting to replace mine.... have to resist...

Pretty funny..almost every computer I've bought was a refurb and never a problem.

I'm typing on one of these, and I highly recommend them.

They're on the heavy side, but the screen is great, the keyboard and touchpad are solid, and it seems less of a bloaty mess than the Acer I had and returned.

I would say though that the claimed battery life is not accurate - I think maybe 2-3 hours max.

I've purchased several Dell refurbs - but don't have experience with HP refurbs though.

I just returned a HP Envy 17t that was a piece of garbage. It would not connect to a brand new HP printer and froze 2-3 times a day requiring a hard power down reset. HP said it was probably a software issue and even though the only software on it was loaded by them, they wanted me to pay them to fix the issue on a 1 week old $1000.00 computer. It went back right away for a refund and I would have taken the printer back, but it was past the return date. I'm through with HP. If the ones you buy at the store run like this, I'd hate to think what a refurbished would be like. If it needs service, good luck. An interpreter with the tech support would be a big help too.

Have an HP Envy 17t and couldn't be happier. Perhaps you had a lemon.

Same, I've purchased refurbished computers, phones, monitors etc over the last 10+ years and haven't had any major issues. I have however saved a lot of money.

The V Nitro Black that was a FP deal a month ago. Hated that thing - the keyboard was complete garbage.
