Just found this deal through other site. I think it's a pretty good price comparing to other stores selling for $700+.

Maytag Model: MRT118FZEM

Here is the link to HD.

I've end up did a price match with Lowes since I have Lowes gift card. Found out their cost for this fridge is $518. Store manager didn't want to sell it at first.

Best Buy has a Frigidaire 18 cu ft for $449. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/frigi...8978005.p? Anyone care to compare the two? 2% back from e and the bates. [you have to add it to your cart to see the sales price]

All the user reviews I've seen describe it as stainless steel.

The Maytag Fridge has a much better warranty. Other than that, I didn't see too many differences that stood out. Frigidaire lists Energy Usage $48/yr. I couldn't find the Energy usage for Maytag. Hopefully it's similar.

Found it: Maytag = 49/yr energy usage. Link [homedepot.com]

Yeah, the 10 year warranty is probably more than enough to make me choose the Maytag.

The Maytag also has more elaborate door shelves, and more spill-proof glass shelves vs. cheaper wire shelves on the Frigidaire.

For rentals, some people may prefer wire shelves though for durability. Also, dents are way more noticeable on stainless steel models.

Is this deal semi-dead?

I only see $548 as the cheapest price on HD.

Thanks Smilie
