You have to go outside on a sunny day. Hold the watch to the sky and the silver timegem will reflect a faint display of the current time on the ground below you. It gets easier the more you do it.
What are you basing this on? I have bought and on one occasion returned (just because I didn't like the watch) very high end watches from them and they are very responsive. They have on-line chat and are immediately accessible. Other on-line dealers never answer the phone and use email only. I have no affiliation with Ashford other than being a satisfied customer.

How do you read time on this watch? For example, 8:39?

This watch does have precise American movement, correct? And it's got a real good ticker, I hope. You have to be careful with some of these vendors who will swap the American ticker for some foreign one. To roll the dice or not do so....hmmmm.......

Nice watch, had one once, VERY well made. A bit small for me though at 38mm, so it got sold....

Movados are dressy watches. You want some humongous watch along with a nice suit?

Do you find that knowing it is exactly 8:39 important?
I would like to know what your doing?hug

I think watches are now considered more of an accessory than anything else. I was with a twenty something young man the other day and he was wearing a $800 watch and I asked him the time and he took out his phone to see.

Crazy..........Cool

IMHO I think this is a good looking watch.....however, already own two Movados.......that's enough. I've owned them long enough to know exactly what the time is except "to the seconds".
Good Find.

I found this very ugly and not very practical especially for the price.

Ashford is a good site. Good deal. I'd like this watch, or even better one in two tone with gold color. But no practical use for an old fashioned watch except looks. Holding out for a fitness tracker with looks.
