ZTE Zmax 2 4G LTE phone with 5.5" display - "Certified like new" - AT&T GoPhone - 16GB ROM, 2 GB RAM No-Contract Cell Phone - $59.99 - AT&T online only

Now $53.99

https://www.att.com/cellphones/zt...sku7760394

I have bought some "certified like new" phones from AT&T before and they were always like brand new.

When you add this phone to cart, you also need to pick a plan. You can remove the plan in the cart. This is a PREPAID phone so you will never be charged if you are not going to activate it. Unlocking is free and easy through AT&T.

****DO NOT OPEN THE BOX***

go to : "https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/"

agree to the terms,
in the next page say "no" to "are you a customer?".
Enter IMEI number and submit.

You will receive an email to confirm the request and you will receive the unlock code in two days.

to unlock the phone, insert a sim from a different carrier then turn on the phone. When prompted, enter the unlock code.

- THESE ARE NOT BRAND NEW. These are pre-owned and if they have been activated by the previous owner or booted up with ATT (or supported carriers like H2O) sim inside, they wont get unlocked via the online process.
Personal experience - it was a nightmare for me to get my ATT MotoX unlocked that I got as a replacement for my defunct original unlocked phone as it was certified refurbished.

Only in battery life, not at anything else. The Snapdragon 801 in the Moto X 2nd Edition is still way beefier than the budget 400/410 used in the Zmax2.

You cannot buy without a monthly plan. You can only remove the refill card.

oops... I searched for "zte zmax2" and it didn't show me this post.
"zmax 2" gets this though.

yes but it's not a commitment. If you don't use it, you don't pay it.

thank you for the link. I bought 2 new phones myself from walmart when they were on clearance last week and was able to unlock with no issues thru AT&T, of course because they were brand new, never opened.

I was traveling last weekend and passed through Knoxville where I picked one of these up new for $20 (last one they had). It's a great $20 phone, it'd probably be a good $60 but I wouldn't pay more. We've got it in a draw as a backup for whenever my wife's LG G2 finally dies. Running on Cricket so we didn't need to unlock it.

Not worth the $59.99 refurb (returns) as on sale they run $79.99 and the big plus is the easy unlock. That said, it's decent, but no where near great with mediocre speakerfone and entry level camera that takes too long to focus and clear the buffer with off colors too.

I checked brickseeker in the morning for stores that I was going to be near on my drive and the Walmart on 7420 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN showed limited stock for $20. When I showed up there was still one there with a tag saying $20.
