Banana Republic currently has 40% off your purchase during their Hello Summer Event with code: BRTAKE40 through 5/30.

http://bananarepublic.gap.com/

For additional savings, use cashback sites plus, purchase gift cards through various sites. Banana Republic is part of the GAP family, so Old Navy, Athleta, GAP, Piperlime gift cards can all be used, which means you should purchase the gift cards with the biggest discount, regardless of which store it is actually from. In my case, 15% off for Old Navy gift cards.

Picked up a pair of Jeremy Italian Leather Oxfords for $168 - 40% ($67.20) - 15% ($15.75) - 2% Cashback ($2.02) = $83.03 out of pocket.

Valid in-store and online. Combine with this deal when shopping in-store and save an additional $10: http://slickdeals.net/f/8767779-free-10-shopcard-at-banana-republic (Credit to noobhere)

*Offer valid at Banana Republic online and in stores until 5/30/2016 at 11:59 PM ET in the US (including Puerto Rico). Not valid in Canada. Not valid at Banana Republic Factory stores and Banana Republic Factory online. Discount does not apply to GiftCards, packaging, shipping and handling, applicable taxes or BR Picks, BR Monogram Collection, 100% Cashmere, leather apparel, designer collections & collaborations, and third party branded merchandise. No adjustments on previous purchases. Not valid for cash or cash equivalent. Cannot be combined with other offers or discounts including the Gap Inc. employee discount.

My favorite place to shop for clothes! Though really rather over-priced at normal prices, their frequent sales make up for it. I'm still curious how the new grant fit compares to the old tailored slim...that was such a great fit.

I tried to apply the promo code to a couple regularly priced dress shirts and even though the code applied the shirts were not eligible.

I purchased Jeremy in Black this time. I had purchased the same shoe in Chestnut during a previous sale for even less ($75) and was impressed with the quality and fit. I ended up sending back a pair of Cole Haan shoes in Black that cost me around the same as these from another Slickdeals thread. Hopefully they end up lasting me a while as I had a hell of a time finding a pair that I liked that seemed to be of decent quality without spending $200+.

Are you familiar at all with Express's dress shirts by comparison? I like the fit of their FITTED cut but realize that their shirts aren't of the best quality and would like to branch out to other brands, especially those that have more non-iron choices.

Odd. Did they happen to fall under the "exclusions" listed? Can you provide a link to one example that I can check and see if I get the same result.

I hope that $10 promo code works with this.

It does... I used the $10 in store today on top of the 40%. It was interesting to see even the clearance at the store was 40% off.

It's a sham, I was there today, all the good stuff in the store are "BR PICKS" which means they are excluded from the sale. I picked up this really nice brown leather jacked, it was $350 before %40 OFF, and of course the lady who walks around says leather is not included.. What?

Anyway, if anyone can spot something nice for a good deal, like OP's oxford deal, please share.
Otherwise, I couldn't find anything worth paying what they are asking for after the %40 off..

Yep read my post above.. It's not a sales event, it's more like clearance of certain items and you never know if it will apply or not until you get to checkout. Plus there is shipping.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Express's dress shirts. Charles Tyrwhitt are the only dress shirts I've tried, though I plan to try BR's next time I'm in the market. I've only done BR for casual wear so far.

Another question: can anyone comment on BR dress shirt sleeve length? It looks like they don't give a neck/sleeve option like most brands and looking at their size charts a medium has a 34" sleeve. Is that accurate? That would mean what, another $15-20 at the tailor for my 32" sleeve-having-self?

Its not that much longer. Besides, the shirt could be a slim cut or just a tad long, which is OK. The neck would be your main concern, so make sure of that measurement. The dress shirt is suppose to be longer than the coat sleeve. Basic info concerning men's tayloring.

It definitely works. I bought couple of clearance items and they 1st took 40% OFF from the clearance price and then applied $10 OFF coupon code. Definitely a smoking hot deal if you like something on clearance and stack both discounts.
