Problem is the only one of these I don't have and that I want is The Shining. But I'm going to need to replace my Laser Disc of Dr. Stranglove (tie between that and 2001 for my favorite Kubrick movies), and I noticed they skipped that. Any idea why? Your answers on the Hitchcock Collection thread make me figure if anyone knows, you will. Bowdown

Darn it persian! I was barely picking up my 3 movies from the best buy deal, but this one is a much better deal for me considering im a huge kubrick fan. In for one.

Starting Lolita, all movies are owned by Warner, as I have the DVD set. I replaced all dvd with blu-ray, by buying or trading dvd. Not sure why this one leaves out Dr.Strangelove.

As mentioned, Strangelove is a Sony disc though Warner did make a deal to release the US boxset with Dr Strangelove and Universal's Spartacus at least in the 1st US Box.

Warner gave permission for Universal to put North By NW in the US Hitchcock Boxset for that part of the deal. I can't remember off the top of my head what deal they made with Sony, but I think it was some similar temp rights exchange
