Get the 80v for same money. Wait for next 50% off deal on amazon... It is amazing and made of metal versus this one being all plastic. You will love the power and duration... Plus 30min charging time. Then splurge for the 80v snow blower and you are set. Smilie

This is a good price for a decent battery operated mower. I have this for our 0.3 acre lot (as I didn't want to keep gas in the garage) and it has been performing well this spring. The lot is not "challenging" with a lot of high thick grass, but when it needs to, the speed picks up and it powers through just fine. One 4Ahr battery gets me through 2/3-3/4 of the lot so a 4 and a 2 Ahr battery is about right for 0.25 acres (depends upon the thickness of the grass and how much time you spend negotiating around trees). The lack of a cord gives you some freedom to mix up your mowing pattern as well.

I got the 16inch B&D one at almost half of this price around BF last year. It works great for a small yard. This one sounds like a good price but not really a slick deal.

We own this mower and really like it. While it is plastic, I believe that makes it lighter, which is a plus to me.
It is not self propelled, but it doesn't need to be because it is so light.
As mentioned, it does struggle with thick grass, but we just cut it a little more frequently so that is not a problem.
And it is nice and quiet. I can actually talk with my husband when he mows (no ear plugs)!

We decided to replace our other corded lawn things and got a great deal on Amazon last week on the blower which came with another battery and another charger. Now when we finish up we can charge the batteries 2 at a time. We're still waiting for the string trimmer to be shipped.

How much would it have to be to be a slick deal? Have you seen it any cheaper anywhere else?

Look up the recent deals on Green work tools. A 15% off regular price deal is not really slick.

$239, $80 battery, $30 charger.. But at least 2 to 3 times better... Plus, 80v battery works with other greenworks professional line tools... Long term, much better buy

This is the same price at Target. Target had this price last night, just Amazon matching them. If you have a Red Card Target may be a better option.

It was $10 cheaper last time at Target before the Red card discount.

*I have no experience with this mower*
but I did just purchase (and returned) a similar one made by Ego Power+:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00NOGZCI2/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I wanted a little extra power, so I went with the 56 volt ego power. While battery and power was great, it did not cut my lawn evenly. It left stray blades of grass and it drove me crazy! Do electric mowers lack the suction to pull the blades up and cut them, or was it just the mode that I got? I'd love to have a cordless (electric) mower, but it has to work right.

Never had that problem with my Ego mower. Love mine. Maybe your blade needed to be sharpened?
