If you own the car, i.e. not lease, and will buy tires in the future, it is highly profitable to sign up for Discount Tire credit card. I have been buying tires from them for the least 10-15 years, and saved a ton of money by using their card every time.
I used to have tires installed at Costco, but now go to Walmart. They charge about $10/tire to install and balance. So, you only pay tax on the $40 installation, not the whole tire purchase.
