Excellent price for this top of the line StaySharp mower. If you are in the market for something like this.

Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-Sta...B0045VL1OO
Target: http://www.target.com/p/fiskars-s...A-14993449

The StaySharp Reel Mower combines amazing technology with superior ergonomics to deliver best-in-class cutting performance without gasoline, oil, charging, the hassle of cords or the noise created by other mowers. It features an InertiaDrive Reel for 50 percent more cutting power than standard reel mowers and a StaySharp Cutting System to eliminate the cost and inconvenience of annual blade sharpening. The combination of these technologies makes the StaySharp Reel Mower 30 percent easier to push than other reel mowers, helping you get more done with less effort.

Indeed. I have had other (cheaper) push lawn mowers, and this one is much easier to push, cuts better, handles small twigs, and doesn't need sharpening or oiling of the blades to keep turning. Nice workout for smaller lawns. Did I mention it is near silent?

Of course it doesn't handle super tall grass, nor does it collect clippings (unless you buy the grass catcher, which doesn't seem to stay connected, and makes maneuvering this thing more challenging).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I own two of these. One for front yard and one for backyard that is walk out basement. Bought second to avoid banging on the stairs. Here are my views after some years of using it.
Pros:
1. It is silent, so you can do it whenever you want to, without disturbing others.
2. It is easy to push around if you are on a flatter lawn that is dried up. don't use it on wet grass.
3. Throws grass clippings(very fine) back on the lawn. They disappear next 2-3 days.
4. As others said, no noise, gas, cords, maintenance.

Cons:
1. It doesn't cut while you pull backwards, which adds to some time in mowing.
2. Doesn't cut tall grass, but I've learned a trick with that. Give your mower a big push and push the handle down so that front tires are lifted up. While the blades are still moving, slowly bring it down on the tall grass blade. Gone. Or just push it beyond the tall grass blade. When you see the blade behind the mower, pull the mower back enough so that blade is bent under the mower and you see it in the front of the mower, lying down. Then just push the mower forward. The natural curve of the blade makes it high enough to be cut. So this is hassle for sure, esp on some of the crabgrass blades that grow more than your normal grass.
3. It doesn't give you that carpet look that you get with your normal mowers that are all cut on same height. This won't cut your lawn like a nice evenly smothered lawn.
4. And No, like someone else said that you can push it to the edge of the edging. You can't. The front tires are far ahead of the cutting blades. So you do have to use an edger later.
5. sometimes it takes lot of back and forth to cut the grass. In one pass, it doesn't seem to cut everything.
6. Lot of work if you have a sloped lawn.
if you have a tiny lawn and/or want to cut it really early or later in the evening without waking up the neighborhood, this is nice. there's also practically no maintenance here, no oil to change, etc.

but if you have a lot of lawn to mow or tough long grass, you'd be better with a gas powered push mower.

Same price at Target, if you don't want to wait for shipping:

Edit: this might not actually be sold in any Target stores, but if you have a Red Card you'll save a bit and have an edge (pun???) over Amazon's deal.

Excellent price, thanks for posting. Another bonus of the design of this mower is that it lets you mow to the edge of your lawn if it is against a retaining wall or plants you don't want to crush. Other reel mowers have an uncut edge where the wheels go.

Great product for a small yard. Once gets larger- not so much. While renting I was using one of these - for 4 years- the blade remained sharp- could mow any time of day- as no noise. Light and takes small real estate from your garage.

You are welcome! I bought one years ago when Target had it on sale too.

YAB (Yet another bonus) is that it throws grass forward, unlike other push mowers that try to deposit clippings in your shoes. bounce

I got a reel mower (not this one) last year when my wife and I bought our house. We have a smallish lawn (~700 sq ft) and live in Minnesota, so mowing is quick (no matter the method) and is only needed about 4 months out of the year. It really depends on the size of your lawn and how much mowing is needed. Double the size of my lawn and I'd get a gas mower.

If the grass gets too long two passes is needed. If you have too many weeds or unsavory grass (crab-, dallis-, bahi-, crowsfoot grass, etc.) the reel doesn't seem to work very well.

It's sure nice to not need gas or oil fill-ups. It's also really nice to only need a shot of lube before and after a mow.
